<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rolling bearing allowing stable supply of lubricating oil by actively inducing heat cycle in a grease sump even in continuous operation for a long period, and surely discharging the lubricating oil through a very small gap. <P>SOLUTION: This rolling bearing comprises an inner ring 1, an outer ring 2, and a plurality of rolling elements 3 interposed between the raceway surfaces 1a, 2a of the inner and outer rings 1, 2. A step surface 2b continuous with the raceway surface 2a is formed on the non-rotated fixed side race 2 of the inner ring 1 and outer ring 2 serving as the race in the direction separating from the rolling elements 3. The rolling element further comprises a gap forming piece 7 whose end faces the step surface 2b with a gap 12 formed therebetween. The grease sump 8 in communication with the gap 12 is formed. A circulation pipe 31 for liquid is installed in the grease sump 8. In place of the circulation pipe 31, a Peltier element is disposed to abut on a grease sump forming part 6.
