<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color filter substrate having preferable flatness by a flattening layer in any part on a black matrix. <P>SOLUTION: The color filter substrate comprises a light shielding layer 12 having a black matrix 41, color layers 16R, G, B and a flattening layer formed as overlapping the light shielding layer 12 and the color layers, wherein each color layer is segmented into a shape corresponding to the black matrix 41, the rim of each segmented color layer 16R, G, B overlaps the light shielding layer 12 and gives a spacing portion 43 spacing the rims from each other, and the flattening layer overlaps the light shielding layer 12 so as to bury the separating portion 43. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
