<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an article storage box which certainly prevents a harmful insect from entering the box through a gap between lid flaps when a box body is closed with the lid flaps. <P>SOLUTION: According to the article storage box, both end openings of the box body 1 composed of connected first to fourth side-wall pieces are closed with bottom flaps 3 and the lid flaps 2. A second lid flap 2B, a third lid flap 2C, and a fourth lid flap 2D are connected to the second side-wall piece 1B, the third side-wall piece 1C, and the fourth side-wall piece 1D via outwardly folding lines 10, respectively. The third lid flap 2C is provided with a closing plate 5, and each of the second and fourth lid flaps 2B and 2D includes a lap 7 connected to the side-wall piece and a gap closing portion 8 connected to the closing plate 5. The lap 7 and the gap closing portion 8 are connected via an inwardly folding line 11. The gap closing portion is shaped into a triangle as a whole.
