PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital single-lens reflex camera which operates in an optimal supply voltage range which permits a through-image to be displayed in conformity with power consumption of imaging elements, when displaying the through-image by switching the outputs of the plurality of imaging elements. SOLUTION: The digital single-lens reflex camera includes a liquid crystal monitor 26 whereon a first through-image is displayed (B mode displaying) based on the output of a main CCD221 for recording a subject image, and a second through-image is displayed (A mode displaying), based on the output of a CCD279 inside a finder arranged in a finder optical system for observing the subject image; a battery check circuit 257 for judging the supply voltage; and a body CPU229 which prohibits or permits the operation of a first through-image displaying means and a second through-image displaying means, based on the judgement results of the battery check circuit. When the supply voltage is found to be lower than a first predetermined value, the operation of the first through-image displaying means is prohibited, and when the supply voltage is found to be lower than a second predetermined value which is lower than the first one, the operation of the second through-image displaying means is prohibited.
