PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device for performing division-scanning while dividing scanning electrodes, wherein occurrence of display density differences and a flicker of a picture element nearby a division area formed by dividing the scanning electrodes is prevented. SOLUTION: One scanning electrode group and another scanning electrode group adjacent to the one scanning electrode group among a plurality of divided scanning electrode groups are sequentially selected in the same period in opposite directions from each other.
