PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic continuously variable transmission having a simple structure, and allowing power adjustment matching to magnitude of driving power without needing electronic control. SOLUTION: These planetary gears are integrated with a fluid coupling; when the load of an output shaft 10 is large, the planetary gears 2 and 4 small in load are turned to come into a low gear state; and, when the load of the output shaft 10 is reduced, torque from fins 3 and 9 in the fluid coupling 8 is gradually added to come into a high gear state. Continuously variable transmission is automatically executed without receiving force from the outside such as electronic control. By changing a distance between a fin A (4) and a fin B (9) in the fluid coupling, power adjustment matching to the magnitude of driving power is enabled. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
