PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an adaptor for adjusting a torque of a motor operated valve, which adaptor can simply adjust the torque from outside of the motor operated valve without requiring the work for opening an electric component case, and further to provide a torque adjusting method using the same adaptor. SOLUTION: The adaptor is attached to the outer end surface of the valve body driving portion of the motor operated valve. A supporting member for supporting one end side of a spring cartridge in the compressing direction is provided inside the adaptor so as to be changed from the outside of the adaptor by means of a changing means. By such a configuration, the adjustment of the torque of the motor operated valve can be performed by operating the changing means provided on the adaptor attached to the outer end surface of the valve body driving portion from outside. The work for adjusting the torque can be quickly and easily carried out by a furthermore simple operation as compared with, for example, a method for opening the electric component case and for adjusting a torque switch retained and arranged inside the electric component case.
