PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stand type electric fan without requiring labor so much, while being storable even in a narrow space, without being stored in a storage box, without requiring troublesome disassembling work. SOLUTION: This electric fan is composed of an electric fan stand 5 for stably supporting a fan motor part 4 composed of an air blowing fan 1, a fan guard 2 and a motor 3. Its electric fan stand 5 is composed of a column 6 supporting the fan motor part 4 and a base 7 supporting this column 6. A bulky outer peripheral part of the base 7 is dividedly constituted as an engageable-disengageable stabilizer part 8, and is constituted so that a dimension in the longitudinal direction of the base 7 of removing its stabilizer part 8, is stored in a dimension up to a rear part of the motor 3 from a front part of the fan guard 2 of the fan motor part 4, and is made self-sustainable in an installation form of a state of removing the stabilizer part 8.
