PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air sterilizer capable of, for example, suppressing virus floating in a room and effectively suppressing the infection with the virus by detecting environmental information of the room of the installed room and executing a control based on the detection results. SOLUTION: This air sterilizer which has an electrolytic cell 31 generating electrolytic water containing hypochlorous acid by water electrolysis, a gas-liquid contact member 5 where the generated electrolytic water is dropped, and an air fan 7 bowing indoor air to the gas-liquid contact member 5, is further provided with a microphone detecting sound information corresponding to sneeze or the like in the room, and a control part 100 controlling the operation of the electrolytic cell 31 or the air fan 7 according to the number of sneezes detected by the microphone 105.
