<p>Transition metallic components (I), are new. Transition metallic components (I) of formula ([(C pR 1>m)(CO) 2M 1>][M 2>(CO) 2(C pR 2>n)]), are new. C pcyclopentadienyl ring; R 1>, R 2>1-20C hydrocarbon (preferably methyl) or 5-20C hydrocarbon; M 1>, M 2>a transition metal atom of the group 8 of the periodic table, preferably iron; and m, n : 1-5, preferably 5. Independent claims are included for: (1) a polymerization initiator system comprising (I) and optionally a halogen containing organic compound; and (2) the preparation of a polymer comprising polymerization of at least a polar monomer type, such as unsaturated carboxylic acid, unsaturated carboxylic acid ester, unsaturated carboxylic acid amide, vinylether, vinylester, unsaturated nitrile, unsaturated aldehyde or an unsaturated ketone, or polymerization of at least an olefin type, or polymerization of the polar monomer and olefins in the presence of the polymerization initiator system.</p> |
