PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To adapt a servo motor having large rotor inertia to different load inertia. SOLUTION: A casing 10 includes a hollow chamber, and pillow blocks on the forward side face and the backward side face thereof. A stator 20 is arranged in a chamber and includes a ring and a plurality of coils around the ring. A through hole 23 is specified in the center of the ring. The rotary shaft 31 of a rotor 30 is secured to a base and a magnet body 32 covers the rotary shaft 31. An inertia disc 40 is secured to the rotary shaft of the rotor. When the rotor rotates through magnification of the stator, rotational inertia of the rotor increases through rotation of the inertia disc 40. Consequently, the inertia disc 40 of various dimensions can be secured to the rotor in order to be adapted to different load inertia. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
