<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pipe seam detector for detecting the seam position of a welded tube in a three-dimensional laser beam machine for machining the tube. <P>SOLUTION: The three-dimensional laser beam machine has a chuck 62 for holding a round tube 400 to perform the rotation and the axial movement thereof. A welding seam detector 100 has a detection head 110 disposed on a laser beam machining body part 30. The detection head 110 comprises a master lever 120 and a detection lever 140 for copying an inner wall surface 410 of the round tube 400. When the round tube 400 is rotated, and the weld seam is brought into contact with the detection lever 140, a micro-switch 150 detects the motion of the detection lever 140, transmits the signal to an NC device 90, and recognizes the position of the weld seam. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
