<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bio-artificial organ filled with animal cells; and a production method of the bio-artificial organ. <P>SOLUTION: This bio-artificial organ comprises a bio-artificial organ module, and the animal cells 7 fixed in the bio-artificial organ module. The bio-artificial organ module is provided with a chamber 6 which has a body fluid inlet 2, a body fluid outlet 3 and at least one cell inlet 5, a hollow fiber membrane 1 having semipermeability, a cell fixation substrate 4; a separation membrane 1 and the cell fixation substrate 4 are stored in the chamber 6; the separation membrane 1 is so disposed as to form spaces (I) and (II) in the chamber 6; the space (I) is communicated with the body fluid inlet 2 and the body fluid outlet 3 and forming a body fluid channel for leading the body fluid introduced from the body fluid inlet 2 and leading out from the body fluid outlet 5; and the space (II) is communicated with the cell inlet 5 and stores the cell fixation substrate 4 (cell storage part). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
