<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid developer in which toner particles sufficiently small in grain size are stably dispersed, and to provide a method capable of efficiently manufacturing the liquid developer. <P>SOLUTION: This method of manufacturing the liquid developer dispersed, in which the toner particles are dispersed in an insulating liquid, comprises: a process where the particulates mainly composed of a resin material are associated to obtain the associated particles; and a process where the associated particles are disintegrated in the insulating liquid to obtain the toner particles. A fatty acid monoester, middle chain fatty acid ester, low-viscosity liquid paraffin or the like can be used as the insulating liquid. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
