PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a single stage orbital moving engine system which can be used for a vehicle suitable for horizontal takeoff and horizontal landing. SOLUTION: The engine assembly is provided with a gas-turbine engine, a rocket engine combustion assembly, and a movable nozzle segment subassembly. The gas turbine engine has a tail cone and a bypass duct, and the rocket engine combustion assembly is arranged at the tail cone of the gas turbine engine. The movable nozzle segment subassembly is selectively engageable with the gas-turbine engine bypass duct in an open position and the combustion assembly of the rocket engine in a closed position.
