PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently cancel the purchase of a part of merchandise purchased by a customer, electronic tag data of which is read. SOLUTION: This merchandise sales data processor is provided with an electronic tag data buffer and a merchandise item buffer. When the same data as the electronic tag data read by an electronic tag reader is not stored in the electronic tag data buffer, the read electronic tag data is added to the electronic tag data buffer. An input mode and a cancellation mode can be switched, and the electronic tag data buffer is cleared in response to switching to the cancellation mode. When the input mode is selected, merchandise sales data is acquired based on the electronic tag data added to the electronic tag data buffer, and added to the merchandise item buffer. When the cancellation mode is selected, the merchandise sales data acquired based on the electronic tag data added to the electronic tag data buffer is deleted from the merchandise item buffer.
