PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wavelength converting method and a wavelength converting device that can perform high-speed signal processing since a signal processing speed is not limited to an operation speed of an external device, and then can perform wide-band all-optical-signal processing. SOLUTION: The wavelength converting method and wavelength converting device employ selective transmissivity of optical signals by a filter and route selectivity of light by interference effect of a Sagnac interference system.
