PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an adaptor for optical communication cables permitting to recognize the visible light passing through the optical communication cables from the outside irrespective of coating raw materials of the optical communication cables. SOLUTION: The adaptor for the optical communication cables comprising an adaptor main body 10 for connecting terminals of a connector for a pair of optical communication cables, and a cover member 12 for covering the adaptor main body 10 with the plug parts 10A of both end parts of the adaptor main body 10 kept open, is characterized in that on the outer circumferential surface of the cover member 12, notch parts 18A, 18B continuing to the apertures 12A, 12B of the plug parts 10A or a hole 24 discontinuing to the apertures 12A, 12B of the plug parts 10A is formed so that the visible light leaking from the connector 22 for the optical communication cables may leak when the visible light is made to pass through the optical communication cables 20A, 20B.
