PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive system for predicting the collapse of a sloped ground capable of constructing simply a sensor, even in a small or middle scale of work, by keeping detection precision even when an outside temperature is varied. SOLUTION: This system 1 for predicting the collapse of the sloped face detects an inclined angle of the sloped face 9, based on a sensor output from an acceleration sensor 3 provided in an inclination angle detector 2, and predicts the collapse of the sloped face 9, based on the inclined angle. The sensor output from the acceleration sensor 3 is temperature-corrected in response to a change of an ambient temperature of the acceleration sensor 3 detected by a temperature sensor 4. Precision of the inclined angle output is enhanced by the correction based on the temperature, to enhance precision when issuing an alarm. A threshold serving as a basis for determining the propriety of issuing the alarm may be corrected by a moisture amount of a ground and a changing speed of the inclined angle to enhance precision of alarm issuing timing.
