The device includes a lubricating channel (511) having a transition (8) to the lubricating bore (31) wherein the pressure is balanced between the lubricating bore and lubricating channel through a piston (62) guided in a bore (61) formed in the ink box jaws (51) axial to the ink box roller (2). The piston which is able to deflect towards the ink box wall has an active cross-sectional surface greater than that of the lubricating bore at the transition between lubricating channel and lubricating bore.
