PRION PROTEIN GENE AND ITS NUCLEOTIDE SEQUENCE, PROCESS FOR PREPARING THE SAME AND USES THEREOF

A prion protein gene and its nucleotide sequence are provided to diagnose chronic wasting disease(CWD), transmissible spongiform encephalopathy(TSE) and prion disease occurring in deer. A prion protein is derived from Hydropotes inermis argyropus and comprises the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO:2, wherein a 100th amino acid is asparagines, a 187th amino acid is alanine and a 226th amino acid is glutamine. The prion protein gene comprises the nucleotide sequence of SEQ ID NO:1 and is amplified by PCR(polymerase chain reaction) by using a forward primer of SEQ ID NO:5 and a reverse primer of SEQ ID NO:6.
