<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wrapping apparatus which can easily and certainly wrap an article airtightly regardless of the thickness of the article. <P>SOLUTION: A shutter plate energy-applying means is provided with a shutter plate press adjusting mechanism that is capable of adjusting a press force of a shutter plate 610. The shutter plate press adjusting mechanism is composed of a variable energy-applying portion and a constant energy-applying portion, and includes a pull-spring. The shutter plate press adjusting mechanism is so structured that an energy-applying force of the constant energy-applying portion is smaller than that of the variable energy-applying portion and that the energy-applying force is adjustable step by step manually.
