<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power generator capable of efficiently utilizing thermal energy, and, preferably, reaction heat for operating a fuel cell. <P>SOLUTION: The power generator is provided with a cell main body having an electrolyte body, a fuel electrode and an air electrode, and a secondary power generating means jointed to at least either the fuel electrode or the air electrode and having a P-type thermoelectric conversion member and an N-type thermoelectric conversion member. With the power generator of such a structure, power can be obtained by the Seebeck effect as the P-type thermoelectric conversion member and the N-type thermoelectric conversion member jointed to the cell main body generating power at a temperature higher than the generation starting temperature serve as a thermocouple, so that a higher power generation efficiency is realized. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
