<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sealed storage battery capable of improving an originally-intended high-efficiency discharge characteristic by flattening welding surfaces to collector plates formed by bending active material layers exposed to both end surfaces of an electrode group to improve reliability of connection by welding. <P>SOLUTION: The flat welding surfaces 31 and 32 are formed by bending a collector group exposed to both end surfaces of the electrode group 29 composed by rolling a positive electrode plate 23 and a negative electrode group 27 comprising collectors 20 and 24 provided with non-coated parts 22 and 26 of active material layers 21 and 25 by interlaying a separator 28 therebetween from the winding axis side toward the circumferential direction; the collector plates 33 and 34 are welded thereto; and all of them are enclosed in a battery case 35. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
