<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell device capable of surely preventing electrolyte leakage occurring when connection of a valve mechanism connecting a fuel cell unit and a fuel cartridge is released. <P>SOLUTION: The fuel cell device is equipped with a valve mechanism 5 comprising valves 11, 21 installed in a fuel cell unit and a fuel cartridge, valve shafts 19, 29 extended from valve seal parts 13, 23 toward the tip are pushed in by inserting a part of a valve 21 on the male side on the other side into a valve 11 on the female side on one side, valve seal parts 13, 23 are opened and connected each other. A cylindrical elastic body 31 whose peripheral wall is curved outward by contact of the tip of the valve 21 on the male side in the connection state of the valve mechanism with a cylindrical space 30 installed in the periphery of the valve shaft 19 on the female side and by being pushed in is engaged with the outer periphery of the valve shaft 19, and liquid fuel left on the outside of the valve seal part 13 is sucked into the inside when connection is released. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
