<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus instantly switching a display screen to a required screen with a simple operation by an operator without providing numerous keys. <P>SOLUTION: A display screen discriminating means 524 discriminates the display screen indicated by an instruction inputted by the operator according to an operation mode carried out with frame advance key 411 or a frame return key 413 by the operator and the discriminated display screen is displayed to a display part 410 by a display control part 523.
