PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermoelectric material which has excellent thermoelectric characteristics, has environmental friendliness, is manufactured inexpensively and is suitable for mass production. SOLUTION: The iron alloy thermoelectric material is provided, which principally contains Fe, V and Al and has carbide dispersed in a matrix, wherein [V concentration-C concentration] is 20-32 at% and [Al concentration+Si concentration] is 20-30 at%. Since this thermoelectric material is specifically can acquire low resistivity while maintaining a high Seebeck coefficient, output factors are improved and excellent thermoelectric characteristics can be obtained.
