PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a common mode noise filter which reduces the insertion loss in a differential mode due to the spray capacitance of a coil conductor and the common mode noise in a wide range. SOLUTION: The common mode noise filter comprises a nonmagnetic layer 2, magnetic layers 1a, 1b laid on both sides of the nonmagnetic layer 2, two opposite plane coils 5a, 5b buried in the nonmagnetic layer 2, and four outer terminal electrodes 3 electrically connected to the plane coils 5a, 5b which are opposed through a hollow cell 4.
