PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of lancing and bending a metallic sheet by which a tongue piece or the like is formed without generating cracks in a root part. SOLUTION: When performing lancing and bending work with a die which is composed of a punch and a die, a notch is formed at a length L<SB>1</SB>which is longer not less than the length L of an uncut part = the width of the shear face/tanθ(shear angle) than the length of a bent part L<SB>2</SB>and the metallic sheet is bent in a part where is completely cut without acting bending stress on the uncut portion.
