PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To precisely evaluate a creep fatigue damage noncontactly by one technique. SOLUTION: In this damage evaluation method by a metal texture as to the creep fatigue damage for estimating a consumed life of a structural member, when the creep fatigue damage imposed together with a creep damage and a fatigue damage in the structural member constituted of a metal member, a void area rate is found in the structural member with the accumulated creep fatigue damage, and a creep fatigue damage amount (residual life) of the structural member is estimated referring to a creep fatigue damage evaluation diagram indicating a relation between the void area rate preliminarily found experimentally and the creep fatigue damage amount.
