PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To heighten accuracy in measuring gear noise generated from specimens by suppressing the occurrence of vibrations by an elaborate structure. SOLUTION: A gear noise measuring apparatus is used to measures gear noise generated by a specimen driven by a dynamometer D<SB>1</SB>for a simulated engine with a load generated in the specimen by a dynamometer D<SB>3</SB>for a simulated load. A base is divided into two along its thickness direction, and upper and lower base divisions are pasted to each other via a viscoelastic resin. An apparatus mounting part 38 protruding upward in the form of a military ship is formed integrally with either an upper or lower base divisions. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
