<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an indicator capable of changing a display form of a display component displayed on a display part by the indicator itself not through external equipment such as a personal computer. <P>SOLUTION: This indicator 1 has: the display part 3; and a touch panel 5a layered on the display part 3. The display part 3 can display the display component 15 imparted with a prescribed attribute, can generate a signal according to the display component 15 by designating an area of the touch panel 5a corresponding to the display component 15, and can operate in a plurality of operation modes including a standard mode wherein the display device 1 itself and/or the other equipment performs prescribed operation, and a customized mode wherein the display form of the display component 15 displayed on the display part 3 can be changed.
