<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet recording sheet which causes neither blurring nor nonuniformity in printing and which is superior in coloring properties and free from a stain of a coating roll in coating of an underlayer, and a manufacturing method thereof. <P>SOLUTION: In the inkjet recording sheet having a constitution wherein the underlayer containing a pigment and a binder is provided on at least one side on a substrate and an ink accepting layer is provided on the surface of the underlayer, the binder of the underlayer is starch and a compounding amount of the starch is 10-100 pts.mass to 100 pts.mass of the pigment, and the pigment of the underlayer contains silica so processed that the average particle diameter is 0.5-10 μm. The water retention degree of the coating of the underlayer is 30-500 cc/m<SP>2</SP>and the coating is applied by a transfer roll coater. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
