PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To carry out not only illumination control by image information but also illumination control considering attributions (age, eyesight or the like) of an individual user, and make lighting environment appropriate to the user. SOLUTION: The illumination control system 1 is provided with an image information device 2 having the image information, an image display device 3 to display the received image information and to supply it to the image information device 2, an illumination fixture 4 arranged and installed at a space at which the image information device 2 is installed, an IC tag 5 to memorize user information including the attributions of the user himself and to be carried by the user, an IC tag reading device 6 to read the user information from the IC tag 5 and recognize the user information, and a control device 7 to control the illumination fixture 4 according to the image information and the user information. By this, since the illumination control according to the image information to be appreciated and the attributions of the user is automatically carried out, the appropriate environmental illumination suited to the individual user can be carried out.
