<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a production planning system for managing the production activity of components, semi-finished products and finished products. <P>SOLUTION: This production planning system comprises a supply quantity calculation module to calculate quantities of particular components, semi-finished products and finished products to be supplied; a production policy database to store various data needed in the calculation of the supply quantity; a production policy data editing module to allow the modification of data stored in the production policy database; and an output means to output supply quantity calculated by the supply quantity calculation module, wherein the above mentioned supply quantity is calculated from following formula: supply quantity = estimated consumption + estimated loss quantity + predetermined stock quantity, and wherein the above mentioned predetermined stock quantity is calculated from following formula: predetermined stock quantity = predetermined final stock quantity of current cycle - initial stock quantity of current cycle. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
