<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten time needed to confirm the composition, exclude the inconsistency in the composition information, and realize quick and accurate management of the composition by automatically confirming composition and update composition information. <P>SOLUTION: This is a method for managing the composition of rack-mounted devices which are mounted on a rack housing comprising a plurality of racks. In this case, noncontact type IC tags 301 and 401, each storing information on the rack-mounted devices, are each pasted on the rack-mounted devices, respectively, which are mounted on the rack housing 10. Reader devices 1001-1038 which read the noncontact IC tags of the respective rack-mounted devices are provided in the respective racks of the rack housing. The reader devices in the respective racks read the noncontact IC tags of the respective rack-mounted devices and acquire information on the respective rack-mounted devices mounted on the rack housing and their mounting positions. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
