PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bobbin holder allowing embroidering a pattern at a predetermined position with a cord drawn at a uniform tension, when a cord is sewn to a cloth. SOLUTION: The bobbin holder includes a bobbin guide for pivoting a bobbin at an end of a cantilevered arm cantilevered from a base member. In the bobbin holder, a spring material is extended from the base member toward the outer periphery of a bobbin thread to be turnably mounted at the end of the cantilevered arm, the spring material is set to a length allowing the end to resiliently abut on the outer periphery of the bobbin thread, and the spring is set to a force so that the end of the spring material is positioned at a maximum radius of the bobbin thread and makes a strong contact with the maximum radius when the bobbin thread has the maximum radius, and as the bobbin thread is reduced to gradually reduce the radius of the bobbin thread toward a reduced radius position, the position of the end of the spring material is moved toward the reduced diameter position while gradually reducing the pressure contact force.
