PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic EL element showing superior luminance and lifetime, having few dark spots at driving and a high stability with the passage of time under high temperature and high humidity storage, and to provide its manufacturing method, and a display device and a lighting system that uses the same. SOLUTION: The organic electroluminescent element has an electrode and at least two layers of organic layers.
