PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an intake device of a gas engine which improves the thermal efficiency of the engine by reducing the pump loss of intake in a partial load operation, and can improve startability by an extremely simple and inexpensive structure in the gas engine where fuel gas and an air mixture generated by a gas mixer is fed into a cylinder of the engine via a throttle valve. SOLUTION: The fuel gas and air mixture generated by the gas mixer is fed into the cylinder of the engine passing through the throttle valve to control the flow rate of the mixture disposed in an intake passage via a suction manifold and a suction valve. An air intake passage volume (V) from the throttle valve outlet to the suction valve of the suction passage is formed so that a ratio (V/Vh) of the suction passage volume (V) to a stroke volume (Vh) of the engine is 1.3 or higher (V/Vh≥1.3).
