PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing an aliphatic isocyanate containing an oxyalkylene group, capable of being utilized industrially, in which the oxyalkylene group-containing aliphatic isocyanate can efficiently be obtained in high yield. SOLUTION: This method for producing the aliphatic isocyanate containing the oxyalkylene group comprises reacting an aliphatic amine containing the oxyalkylene group or its hydrochloride salt with phosgene stepwisely in at least two temperature ranges, e.g. in 0-90°C temperature range and subsequently in 90-160°C temperature range in an ester solvent to obtain the isocyanate compound and then adding glycidol thereto and distilling the isocyanate.
