The front end unit has an upper transversal element (2) and two vertically positioned lateral parts (3). Elements (4) carrying the headlamps with projections (5) for being inserted into complementary openings are attached to the vertical parts (3). The bumper carrier (7) is fitted with two crash boxes (7.1), each of them with flanged plates (8) comprising several bores (9,11). The flanged plates (8) are joined to the vertical parts (3) with their cranked upper (12) and lower ends (14) while the head lights carriers (4) can be connected to them using bores (11) at their upper ends.
