An automatic vending machine in which a to-be-discharged merchandise holding member is operated by operation power by a handle after a coin is inserted and the merchandise is discharged by the operation of the holding member. The automatic vending machine has a to-be-discharged merchandise detection means for detecting discharged merchandise and outputting a signal of the detection; a display means for capable of displaying, in a manner viewable from the outside, the total number of pieces of merchandise discharged from a predetermined time; a processing device for obtaining the total number of pieces of the discharged merchandise based on the detection signal from the detection means and causing the total number of pieces to be displayed on the display means at a preset occasion. |
