<p>The brewing device has a chamber, a lower and an upper chamber movable from a closed position relative to the lower device. The lower chamber has an opening (2) and a side panel (3) for a filter pad which can be filled with ground coffee. The opening has a hollow section (5) for filling with coffee bags (21). A flat platform circularly extends the hollow section and up to the side panel and to an edge of a seal (22). The hollow section of the opening (10) surrounds a contact area (9) which deepens in relation to the contact area. The increased contact area surrounds a circular groove (8).
