ECO-FRIENDLY RIVER BANK PROTECTION METHOD USING PARTIAL PROJECTION TYPE MATTRESS GABION

An eco-friendly bank protection method using a projection-type mattress gabion is provided to prevent riverbed scour and to secure structural stability of a bank by reducing the speed of a current and tractive force by arranging mattress gabions and granular gabions by turns. An eco-friendly bank protection method using a projection-type mattress gabion comprises the steps of: assembling a base mesh and an outer mesh of a mattress gabion(20a) and installing on a slope of a bank(10); closing up the mattress gabion by paving filling stones(30) on the mattress gabion and fastening an upper mesh; assembling a base mesh and an outer mesh of a granular gabion(20b) adjacently to the mattress gabion; and closing up the granular gabion by placing a guide pipe in the granular gabion and paving filling stones, fastening an upper mesh of the granular gabion and installing an anchor on a slope of the bank through the guide pipe.
