Production of a developer mixture in a developer station of an electro-photography printing machine comprises simultaneously pouring magnetizable carrier particles and toner into the developer station. An independent claim is also included for a method for exchanging a developer mixture in the developer station of an electro-photography printing machine. Preferred Features: Initially only the carrier particles are poured into the developer station and then the toner is added after the pouring process for the carrier particles has started. The carrier particles and the toner are thoroughly mixed during pouring.
