A 3D image/2D image switching display apparatus (1) is provided with a liquid crystal display unit (2) and first and second lenticular lenses (32, 31). To display a 3D image, the first lenticular lens (32) is arranged in such a way that the optical axis of the first lenticular lens (32) coincides with the optical axis of the second lenticular lens (31) so that pixels for a left eye (41) display an image for a left eye (51) and pixels for a right eye (42) display an image for a right eye (52). To display a 2D image, the first lenticular lens (32) is arranged in such a way that the optical axis of the first lenticular lens (32) is shifted from the optical axis of the second lenticular lens (31) by half a lens pitch so that the pixels for the left eye (41) and the pixels for the right eye (42) display the same image independently. <IMAGE> |
