A color conversion apparatus and a method thereof are provided to predict a video signal in accordance with various luminance environments and be applied to various application fields such as an input of a multi-primary display. An image input part(110) receives an image. A reflectance estimation part(130) estimates a spectral reflectance of the image by one or more wavelength intervals. A reflectance synthesis part(140) synthesizes the estimated one or more spectral reflectances into one spectral reflectance. A color conversion part(150) converts a color of the image by applying the synthesized spectral reflectance. The reflectance estimation part applies a predetermined matrix preliminarily written by the wavelength intervals to the image in order to estimate one or more spectral reflectances.
