A portable terminal having a sliding module is provided to prevent the elements of a sliding module from being exposed to the external by enabling the second housing to make a sliding motion on the first housing as much as the sum distances of the movement range of sliding members on the first housing and the sliding range of the second housing on the sliding members. A portable terminal(100) comprises a sliding module(200), which connects the second housing(102), facing the first housing(101) and sliding in the lengthened direction of the first housing(101), to the first housing(101). The sliding module(200) comprises a pair of sliding members(211,213), the first guide members(223), and the second guide member(203). A portion of each of the sliding members(211,213) is combined with one side of the first housing(101), and the other portion is combined with one side of the second housing(102). The first guide members(223), installed at the first housing(101), guide the sliding movement of the sliding members(211,213). The second guide member(203), installed at the second housing(102), is combined so as to make a sliding motion on the sliding members(211,213). The second guide member(203) moves within the range of the length of the first housing(101).
