The device has one or more line-like arranged units (5) for the radiation of light and one or more optical components (10,12,13), which are arranged in a support structure. The support structure comprises an extruded section (4), in which the units for the radiation of light and the optical components are arranged. The extruded section is hollow and has an emission opening (6) for the emission of the light from the extruded section.
