The present invention relates to an apparatus for hydroponic cultivation of plants or parts thereof comprising a container (3) of arbitrary form or a free pool containing a nutritive hydroponic solution (2), a loose carrier (1) floating on the solution level and being preferably formed by a mixture of pearlite and foam plastic being selected from the group consisting of polyurethane and/or crushed polystyrene. Preferably said loose floating carrier (1) is subdivided into individual floating cultivation cells (1A) from which each being defined by at least sidewalls enabling direct contact of said loose floating carrier (1) with the nutritive hydroponic solution (2) wherein said floating cultivation cells (1A) can be subsequently moved as a whole into another container or to environment directly onto final site of a plant. |
